Wauconda Turkey Trot

The Wauconda Turkey Trot is a festive running event held annually, with the 2024 edition marking its 14th year. Participants can choose between a 4-mile race around Bangs Lake or a 2-mile family-friendly fun run/walk at Cook Memorial Park. The event promotes health and community spirit, with proceeds benefiting local organizations such as the Wauconda/Island Lake Food Pantry and the Wauconda Township Historical Society.
