The First Step

The First Step 5K is a New Year’s Day running event taking place in Bedford, Indiana. This race is part of the Bedford race series and aims to support Bertha’s Mission, which provides food assistance to those in need within the community. The course begins at Bedford Square, winding through the northern part of the city and concluding at The Downtown Depot.

Participants can register for $25 until December 24, 2024, with a price increase thereafter. The first 100 registrants will receive race shirts, and awards will be given to the top three finishers in each age group. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
