Sam Lapidus Montclair Run
The Sam Lapidus Montclair Run is an annual running event held in Birmingham, Alabama, celebrating its 48th edition in 2024. Originally started in 1976, the event was renamed in honor of Sam Lapidus, a young boy who passed away from cancer. The run features multiple events, including a 5K, 10K, and a 1 Mile Fun Run, attracting around 1,500 participants of all ages.
A portion of each registration fee is donated to the Alabama Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders. The event has become a Thanksgiving tradition for many families and includes awards for best-dressed participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
