Pony Express Trail Run

The Pony Express Trail Run features both a 50-mile and a 100-mile ultramarathon set in the scenic west desert of Utah, following the historic Pony Express Trail. This event, scheduled for October 17, 2025, is designed for runners of all experience levels, including first-timers. The course consists entirely of dirt roads with a moderate elevation gain of about 3,000 feet.

Participants are required to have a support crew to provide food and hydration along the remote route. The race begins at Lookout Campground, with the 100-mile runners heading to Fish Springs National Wildlife Refuge and back, while the 50-mile runners finish at Blackrock Pony Express station.
