Path Of The Flood Historic Races

Website

The Path of the Flood Historic Races is an annual running event held in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, commemorating the devastating flood of 1889. The 2025 edition marks the 11th running and features a 14-mile course starting at the South Fork Dam ruins, alongside an 8-mile race and a 5K. Participants will traverse historic sites, including the Staple Bend Tunnel, the first railroad tunnel in the U.S., and finish at the iconic Old Stone Bridge.

Organized by the Johnstown Area Heritage Association and the Cambria County Conservation & Recreation Authority, proceeds support local trails and heritage initiatives. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
