Palisades Punisher or Promenade

The Palisades Punisher or Promenade is an exciting running event held at Palisades-Kepler State Park in Mt. Vernon, IA. Participants can choose between an 8-hour Punisher challenge, a 4-hour Mini, or a 4.8-mile Promenade, all featuring scenic trails with over 400 feet of elevation gain per loop.

The course offers breathtaking views of the Cedar River and surrounding bluffs, with a single aid station providing refreshments. Race proceeds benefit the park, and custom awards are given for top performers. Volunteers are welcomed, and photography services are available to capture the event.
