Outrun the Darkness 9.88K

The Outrun the Darkness event features a 9.88K run, a 5K run/walk, a Kids’ Fun Run, and a 1 Mile Memory Walk, all aimed at raising awareness for suicide prevention and mental health. Scheduled for May 10, 2025, in Hazleton, PA, this event is organized by the Friends of Rachel Club to address the alarming statistics surrounding suicide. Participants can also join virtually.

The day will include food trucks, activities for kids, and a Light the Night Luminaria Ceremony to honor those lost to suicide. Proceeds will support mental health initiatives within the Hazleton Area School District. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
