Okefenokee Swamp Run

The Okefenokee Swamp Run, taking place at the Okefenokee Swamp Park in Waycross, GA, is a celebrated annual event, now in its 47th year. Participants can choose between a 10k and a 1-mile race, traversing a unique, mostly dirt course through the scenic forest service roads of the park. The event not only promotes fitness and community engagement but also supports the UGA Alligator Research Project, which focuses on conservation and education regarding the swamp's alligator population.
