Frozen Gnome

The Frozen Gnome is a challenging winter running event held at Veteran Acres in Crystal Lake, IL. Participants can choose from a 50K ultra run, a 10K race, or team relays of 2 or 5 members. The course features a scenic 10K loop through a winter wonderland, rated as a "Triple Black Diamond" for its difficulty.

Runners can enjoy amenities like hot food, coffee, and support from volunteers at the Gnome Depot Aid Station. All finishers receive a medal, and awards are given for top finishers in various categories. A virtual option is also available for those unable to attend in person.
