Arthur E. Schumacher Memorial 5K

The Arthur E. Schumacher Memorial 5K Race is an annual event held in Valley City, Ohio, to honor the memory of Assistant Chief Arthur Schumacher, who lost his life during a water rescue in 1992. Organized by the Valley City Firefighters Association, the race features a 5K run/walk and a 1-mile fun walk, with proceeds supporting a scholarship fund for local firefighters pursuing education in fire and emergency services.
