Armed Forces Endurance Run
The Armed Forces Endurance Run (AFER) is a fixed-time endurance event designed to honor active duty service members and veterans, with a focus on a different military branch each year; this year, the Marines are being celebrated. Held at Bixler Lake Park in Kendallville, IN, participants can choose from 6, 12, or 24-hour races, running on a scenic 3-mile loop that features both asphalt and natural trails. The event includes options for relay teams and a ruck division, with camping available nearby.
All finishers receive unique medals and awards based on their mileage achievements. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
