Aliferis Memorial Race

The Annual Aliferis Memorial Race is a community event held in Alpena, honoring the legacy of Dr. Peter Aliferis, a dedicated pathologist who served the local hospital for 37 years. This inclusive race welcomes participants of all ages and abilities, featuring running, walking, and biking events.

Proceeds from the race support the Peter Aliferis Scholarship Fund, the Cancer Center, and various patient enhancement projects at MyMichigan Medical Center Alpena. The event not only promotes health and wellness but also celebrates the contributions of Dr. Aliferis to the community.
